Our School Council and JRSOs 2016-2017

Hello, we are Roundwood School Council. We are trying to make the school a better community by being friendly and taking everyone’s ideas and trying to make them happen. We feel our school is a good place to be and we want a say in making it an even better place to learn.
We already have some exciting ideas for this year. We are taking part in the Buckinghamshire Junior Information Officer Project and we will share information about things that are happening in Buckinghamshire with our school and local community.
We have also been invited to take part in the School Council Awards and are busy thinking about what we would like to do to help our villages. We would like your help so please give us your ideas.

School Council visit to The Houses of Parliament

Children In Need

The school councillors in key stage one and two have been asking our classes how the school council could raise money to support Children In Need on 18th November 2016. After listening to everybody's ideas we decided to raise money by organising a Fancy Dress-up day based on the theme of Spots and a cake sale.

ActionAid-Sponsor a Child

The School Council have been working hard in finding out about the charity ActionAid and how we can support a child in another country. They have spoken to the KS2 children and presented an assembly. The children have decided to a girl from the Democratic Republic of Congo. The School Council will now be organizing fundraising activities to raise money for the sponsorship.
